A look in to my past as an addict. I am now clean, and I have also become a mother. Being a mom has put a whole new perspective on looking at my past. I am hoping to just get down these stories and thoughts...a little bit everyday. I don't care if anyone reads this or not. Instead, I view it as a format for my thoughts. A reason to write a little everyday, until my masterpiece is finished.

Hurricane Katrina Slide Show with Readings from my Book....
This is a slide show with readings from my book, describing my experience in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. The images are all media images, and some of them are hazy...but my words are clear, bold, and heart wrenching.....
I am a recovering heroin addict as well. I still remember that one of my first thoughts when the hurricane hit was, "what are all the junkies gonna do?!". A natural disaster used to be my worst nightmare when I was using. Stay strong and keep sharing your experience and strength.
